Which Wolf Are You Feeding?

MindsetsWhen you run a business or work for yourself, it’s essential to be as productive and clear headed as possible, so you can manage the day to day as well as focus on moving the business forward.

As you may know, it ain’t always easy. But it’s even more difficult when there are internal obstacles in the way, the ones that keep you stuck, or can even push you into a downward spiral.

And so I’d like to relate a short Native American folk-tale, whose message is still relevant today:

One evening, an elderly Cherokee Brave told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said “My son, the battle is between two “wolves” inside us all.

One is evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.
The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:

“Which wolf wins?”

The old Cherokee simply replied:

“The one you feed.”

Which wolf are you feeding?
