As facebook, twitter, linkedin and other social networking sites are rapidly becoming part of mainstream marketing, a whole host of applications and social media tools have emerged to help business and individual users connect in new and interesting ways.
From sharing links and videos, customizing html, uploading photos, and showcasing rss feeds, there are more apps available than you know what to do with. In fact, facebook claims that there are more than a half million active apps in use right now. But which of these social media tools work, and which are just a waste of time?
I started to explore this when I realized the the app I had been using, stopped working about a month ago. I’m now in the process of finding a replacement. In the next week or so, I’ll talk more about what social media tools and facebook apps I’ve used and how they worked for me. In the meantime, I’d like to invite readers to share their experiences with social media tools in the comments section of this blog.
